STEEL TOE - Non corrosive steel toes used in footwear to provide protection for the toe area. Meets or exceeds ASTM F2413 Standard for protective footwear.

Such foot protection is provided under dry conditions and the insulating properties will deterioriate in wet environments and with wear. These shoes must not be worn in areas where there is static discharge or micro-circuit hazards.
SLIP RESISTANT - Slip resistance or coefficient of friction is the most commonly used way to measure the relative slipperiness of footwear. Two of the more common testing machines are the James Machines and the Mark II.
SA - CSA ELECTRO-STATIC DISSIPATIVE: The yellow rectangle with a black SD letters indicates static dissipative footwear that is for industrial work environments where a static discharge can create a hazard for workers or equipment. Rockport Works footwear is manufactured to meet or exceed CSA Z195 Grade 1 protective toe for static dissipation. WARNING: This footwear should not be used where contact with live electrical conductors can occur.
